CHAPTER 8 - I Smell Cold

CHAPTER 8 - I Smell Cold
“And I wanted out of the Elizabethan age.”

It is a near universal truth that robots hate snow.  On every inhabited planet that has developed artificial life, robots hate snow—even on the planets that don’t have snow.  Two of the quickest ways to kill a mechanical creature is to get it very cold or very wet.

Snow is both.

This is further proven by the fact that there never has been a successful robot uprising on an ice planet.  Generally the robots cease to function before they can kill more than one or two million humanoids.  At which point the best they can do is sit under a blanket or beside a warm fire waiting for the humans to hit them with an ax.
