Year 2735 - Purification

In a landmark achievement, the Consortium has announced major progress in the first phase of terraforming Blanken 9, a crucial step towards making the planet habitable for human colonization.

This monumental task of purification, which began five years ago, has seen extraordinary advancements and brings humanity closer to its dream of expanding to new realms among the stars.

Biodiversity and Preservation

Purification involves a sequence of complex and meticulous procedures to eliminate harmful elements and create a stable environment for life.  The initial step involved the deployment of autonomous drones equipped with sophisticated sensors to locate and identify animals and plants on the planet.

The Consortium’s specially trained biologists, ecologists, and naturalists analyzed samples collected from each species of flora and fauna to determine the viability of co-existence with human life.  Those deemed benign were slated for safekeeping and restoration after purification.

“It’s like a Noah’s Ark,” said Professor Hewens Denoff, lead zoologist of the Consortium Center for Biopreservation.  “We’re collecting breeding stock of each animal into our ‘zoo’ to safeguard during the sanitization process.  After conditions stabilize, they will be released into their original habitats to repopulate and restore biodiversity.”

Botanists are executing the same environmental conservation program with plant life, collecting specimens within a temperature controlled biodome for future use.

Some vegetation and wildlife, however, are too dangerous to house in the temporary zoo.  These species will be eradicated to maintain a secure environment for settlers.

Atmospheric Processors

Over the past four years, the Consortium’s patented atmospheric processors have filtered and purified the air, removing damaging gases and particles.  Atmospheric scientists have made significant strides in improving air quality, bringing it closer to levels suitable for human habitation.
